The Mercer Society (TMS) is a collaboration of committed individuals dedicated to continuing Thelma and Charles Mercer’s legacy by providing support to the Mercer Arboretum & Botanic Gardens (MA&BG). Our goal is to engage, inspire and enlighten those of all ages through garden and plant-related educational, networking, volunteerism, social and fund-raising activities and events. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we strive to enhance and beautify the Gardens for our visitor’s enjoyment by donating proceeds from our efforts to MA&BG.
The Mercer Society is known for its signature plant sale events: March Mart and Summer Color Conference and Plant Sale. Plants are also sold nearly all year long at the Gift Shoppe. We pride ourselves on offering the area’s must unique and eclectic selection of trees, shrubs, tropicals, annuals, perennials, herbs, fruits and vegetables. Our on-site Grower and her team of volunteers tend to our private nursery stock to bring you the very best in both distinctive and popular species.
In 2014, MA&BG will be celebrating a major milestone – our 40th Anniversary. If you have not visited the Gardens lately, you are in for a real treat!
All are welcome at The Mercer Society and the Gardens! Explore the other pages on our website! Follow us on Facebook too.
All proceeds from The Mercer Society events and fund-raising activities go to enhance the Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens.
